Gauges jumping? Without the jumper, what are your house and chassis battery voltages no-load? Under cranking? Don't use the coach's systems to measure, measure at the batteries with a good meter.

Jumping gauges is usually something called "chattering relay" where there's enough voltage to pull in the relay that powers the circuit and then under that load, the voltage drops and the relay drops out, voltage recovers, lather, rinse, repeat. This can happen if there's a short and the circuit is covered by an auto resetting breaker.

My 2201 has the starter solenoid in the rearmost compartment on the passenger side. That is where I would start my investigation.

Note that there is a fuse link to the starter solenoid (again, these are older wiring diagrams).

Have you completely shut down the entire electrical system, including disconnect the ground from the batteries. Wait 5 minutes, reconnect the ground and try starting?

We had to replace the ignition switch into which the key fits. I hope it’s as simple as that fir you.
Go Alpine!

Here's a 2007 schematic, which should be very similar to your 2006. Sounds like chassis battery or power distribution loose connection issue to me.
