Does anyone know if there is an EPA sticker stating a 2000 Alpine Coach built in 1999 was compliant? If so where is it?

I think what you are looking for is the VECI (Vehicle Emission Control Information) label. If you google "VECI", and the engine you have, you'll probably find some information.

That may be what I am looking for. I just don't know if the Cummins ISC 350 of 2000 year vintage has one or not. if it has I don't know where it is!

Google says ("Cummins ISC350 VECI label") that it's on the timing cover. Federal law dictates there being one, so it's somewhere for sure.

I read somewhere that EPA regs for diesel engines did not come into effect until 2004. I will give Cummins a call with my VIN. They should be able to give me that info.

There WERE emission specs for diesel engines prior to 2004.

They just became stricter in 2004 (and in several ever-tightening levels thereafter).

This is in the U.S. I have no knowledge of emission specs for Canada. But, with any coach built in the U.S. it will meet the U.S. specs. Yes, perhaps a very, very few exceptions for vehicles that would not be for sale in the U.S or any other country with the same emissions standards.

Hi Brett

I imported my Alpine into Canada and now may need to reimport it into the states. To do so I need to have a HS7 form signed along with proof of Safety compliance as of manufacture which is on the sticker by the gen slide and also EPA compliance for the time of manufacture and this is what I am looking for. Proof by way of a label or sticker that it meets these conditions. Don't see it anywhere. ??

Should be able to get that from Cummins by providing them with your engine serial number.

Just called Cummins and they gave me a "family" EPA number and are going to email me my engine specific number..

The decal you are looking for should be on the timing cover. When I brought mine into California I had to show them that decal. Took me a bit to find it.
