'Family RVing" magazine review new Fleetwood Frontier

Just got the Aug. issue, and was very curious about Fleetwood's new 34' DP.
As I read through the article, about all the wonderful amenities available in this 34' DP, I realized that for a new coach starting at 300,000 dollars it offered nothing that my '06 coach didn't have from the factory! And it came with a 6KW Onan. They touted this as a "groundbreaking" offering. Haven't they ever heard of Western Alpine who offered a 34' DP years ago, with everything the "new" Fleetwood is offering, and more.

My statement about the gen set was misleading, Our coaches all came with an 8KW Onan, while the new Frontier comes with a 6KW. Not quite sure how they're handling 2 13,500 A/C units plus electric stove with that.

And you probably have a better built coach, being an 06. My 05 Monaco was a tank, never had any issues with it.

Me thinks the new Fleetwood might also be lacking a few ponies compared to our Alpines!

Fleetwood is 340HP - 750Lbs Torque

Alpine Power
350ISC - 350/1050
400ISL - 400/1200

I'd say there would be quite a bit of difference

lets face it folks, anytime you have an older RV very possibly with previous owners, you're going to have some miscl. equipment failures. All this said, the Alpines are a superior coach. The more I see and hear about other coaches, used or new, the more proud I am of our Alpines!
