Bruce left the lift pump connected electrically, not with the fuel input line, meaning the electric lift pump will still operate and the ECU will not detect a fault.
The memory is the first thing to go. I was putting together things I had read and attributing them to one post.

Alpine36 - initially installed and ran the FASS system without bypassing the fuel lines of the factory lift pump.

Bruce Anthon is running the FASS system with the factory lift pump still electrically connected.

It makes me think that I could run the FASS system without any changes to the factory lift pump. The 2 possible concerns that I have picked up on from this thread would be slightly fluctuating pressure (maybe because of the check valve) and possible leaks from the additional pressure on the factory lift pump.

T5his is all just a mental exercise for me right now. My wife and I have a big trip coming up in a month and I am not going to make any changes before the trip.

I’m getting ready to install mine and as MountainMike stated some alpines are different. Mine has the j844 style fittings, it’s a 2003 front door 40 footer.

Let's get this work party started. I've got my pump and some of my parts. I'm waiting on some other stuff before I start hooking things up. While I wait, I thought I would mount the pump.

I'm going to start with the rubber spacers between the bulkhead and the T-bracket for my installation. Some guys use these, some don't.

I'm turning the T-bracket over and using the normal top of the T for the bolts that go through the bulkhead. I drilled a couple of holes in the bracket to make it easier to bolt to the bulkhead (as opposed to using the long "slider" holes for all 4 bolts).

Holes in the bulkhead too.

Pump mounted! It took a couple of tries to figure out the right combination to moun5t everything. I started by mounting the bracket first, and then trying to mount the pump on the bracket. The pump is just too heavy and awkward to hold in one hand and try to tread in a bolt from the back. I started over and put the pump on the bracket and then mounted the completed assembly to the bulkhead. It is still a little awkward, but it worked.

I'll do the power next. That should be easy. It would be nice if something turned out to be easy. I'm ready to quit working and camp.

Here are few pictures for your next steps. I attached the power for the pump to the power posts on the front firewall, drilled a hole for the trigger wire between the two posts and then attached the wire to the key side power at the ABS fuse behind the passenger front kick panel. I found it easier to coil the excess wiring behind the wall the the pump and filters were mounted. You will be very pleased with the finished work.

Nice work guys. The end result and piece of mind is worth the effort for sure. Our FASS pump has developed a high pitched whine when cold after about 7k miles since installed. Goes away after about 15 minutes.
I'm thinking about adding the rubber insulators like Andy did to see if that helps. If not, I'll contact FASS to see if they have any suggestions.

I don’t have as much room behind the bulkhead as you do because my coach has a front door, but I still plan to store the wire loop in that space. Also, my only option for running the fuel lines is up and over the frame rail in the front. Thanks for the photos.

Nice looking setup. Coach and lifted Jeep, what a great combination.
But I may be a bit biased.

You will be pleased with the results after adding the FASS pump.

You have a V-8 in your Jeep. Color me jealous. My Jeep is a 2004 with the 4.0 inline 6 cylinder. My wife and I switched from motorcycles to Jeeps a few years ago. We can go the same places, but it is more comfortable in the Jeep. My wife has her own Jeep now. She has named it Imogene after Imogene Pass in Colorado.

Thanks.

We also came from powersports into Jeeps. We've had Jeeps for the past 30 of our 33 years of marriage but not necessarily for off-roading to the degree we have for the past about 13 years when we met many of our RV friends through some Jeep gatherings. Since then we too enjoy the comforts of our Jeep when exploring the off-road areas where we travel.

We had dirt bikes, sand quads and snowmobiles and pretty much got out of dirt bikes and snowmobiles in 2009 then in 2012 sold the rest of our sand toys and race car and focused on Jeeping to accent our RV travels.

Those I6 4.0 engines were a good solid platform in the TJ/LJ. Your wife's JT looks nice as well.

I had a couple of free hours this afternoon, so I worked on getting the wiring for the FASS pump in place. Photos tell the story.

Fass fuse holder on the left, FASS trigger wire going through the firewall in the center. I'll use the positive and negative post in the photo to power the pump (red and green wires at the top of the photo).

The red trigger wire needs to go on a circuit that activates with the ignition. I have a lot of choices. The third terminal down on the strip on the right is supposed to be ignition activated. I'll test that before I hook up the trigger wire.

The wire loom that comes with the FASS system I ordered is made up for pickup trucks. That means there is a lot of extra length after my RV install. I coiled the extra up behind the bulkhead.
