Took your advice Koop and used the dichlor, filled the tank, ran all the faucets, let it set over night, only needed to flush tank and system once. One small container will last for years.

¼ cup bleach for every 15 gallons of tank capacity is what it takes, let sit for at least 4 hours, then dump and rinse the system.
