We have a 99 Alpine (TV over the driver seat). How do you remove the TV? I and a local RV repair tech tried to pull it out but it seems to be somehow locked in place at the rear. We removed the bar at the top but no luck pulling it out. Help!!!

If it is like my 2000 was, remove the bottom panel(cabinet) and you should find some screws going up into a block of wood that is attached to the TV.

I'm sure various Rv manufacturers use different methods of securing TV's. I have pulled two TVs by first removing the facia board. Look behind the facia board, it is probably held on with metal brackets. Both the TVs I pulled were resting on a flat piece of plywood that laid on top of the floor of the area where the TV was installed. This plywood was held in place by only two screws in the front. Remove the two screws and the flat piece of plywood can be slid out of the cabinet with the TV still attached with the nylon mounting strap. You may have to remove two plastic mounting brackets at the top sides of the TV before sliding the plywood and TV out. Once lifted out you wil have a TV mounted on a piece of plywood, only secured with a nylon strap. Again, this is what I observed on two Fleetwood products. To reinstall the TV,plug it in, attach a cable connector and then it is just slid back in with the nylon strap in place. You screw in the piece of plywood, reinstall the top/side plastic brackets and then refasten the facia.

gamaca015 ... Danny Gayhart replaced his TVs - if you go to Danny's posts back in Feb - you might see how he did it - or just send Danny a private message and ask him for help. He did a magnificant job on his! Good luck!

Wayne has the correct answer. There are screws up from the bottom under the trim panel.
