Turn the plastic tabs 90 degrees with a screw driver.

The only furnace cover that I am aware of, that's on the outside, is the chrome metal cover for the air intake and exhaust. That is removed by removing the screws. Furnace access is from inside via the air return opening. The outside removable grilles, with the turn locks, are for the refrigerator and water heater, which is found on the other side.

This is how it is on my 2004 36 FDS, yours may vary.

Mine too is 4 screw removal. Also much prying. There is lots of caulk on that thing. It will have 2 short tubes attached to it about 3" long.

...remove the 4 screws in the chrome plate [under the after market wasp screen]...plate with extension tubes behind the plate for air intake and fume exhaust will pull out....then the fiberglass panel will swing up from bottom an detach from beltline hinge at top....this process varies from/by model year.....so not every owner knows how yours works....the bottom of the fiberglass panel may be fastened or glued in place...so you will just have to investigate how yours is done...….
