How's your mileage

I am not looking for a perfect mileage but I have a 38ft FDDS with a 400 Cummings the thing runs great with 53k mileage and has a Blue fire computer system and shows an average of 8.2mpg just wanting to know if that sounds similar to most of you. Previous owner always towed a 3500 toad. My average is from 6500 miles on the blue fire

Life time average is 7.5. I get anywhere from 6 to 9 depending on where I'm going and what I'm towing.

That's pretty much what we are averaging with our ISC350 with Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited in tow.......a little closer to 8.1-8.2 with no TOAD.

Brett, what driving behavior do you feel gets your results of “low 9’s”?

I'm towing heavy and most trips start right off the bat with big hills or mountain passes.
I need to check my last trip still, but I added pyrometer which slowed me down just a little to the hills and I definitely used less fuel than normal for this trip.

Flat ground, no tow, light on stuff...10 mpg Texas to Washington. In Washington up and down hills stop and go towing CRV Gen support for AC 7.5 mpg was lowest but usually average about 8.5. 425 HP.

Economy mode 99% of the time.

60-63 MPH

LOTS of coasting (drive with your eyes a mile down the road).

All maintenance item up to date (air filter, fuel filter, tire pressure, etc).

Yes, anal.

BTW the Alpine was the largest of our DP's and slightly worse MPG than the other two. Lifetime on the Foretravel with Caterpillar 3116 over 170,000 miles was 11.3 MPG.

Silerleaf tells me I driven total of 183,106.6 miles, and used 22,609.5 gals. of fuel for an averge of 8.097 miles per gal. Over the years I pulled a Honda Civic, a Toyota Tacoma, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and now a Jeep Gladiator.

Sorry for the Cummins spelling I do know that as I am an engine builder by profession I wasn't paying attention. I have a Jeep Commander I am going to tow and was just trying to verify if was fairly accurate. Seems pretty good on flats, shows 10+ so towing shouldn't be bad. Got the Commander all set up today with the Demco mount kit so should be good to go. Safe travels

All that doesn't get me over 7 mpg. Only tailwinds and downhill does!
