I need help finding the center caps for the front. Alcoa 22.5 rim. Before I left for Quartzsite I discovered the lubrication gauge for the axel behind each cap. I then polished them up and very carefully replaced them. I thought they could be found in Quartzsite but no luck.
There is probably a moral to this story but it escapes me.

Flying J, about $5 a piece. Get the 1 with 4 equal spaces. I always carry a spare. This is the skew number from my spare 048-6384. The retainer clips are kept behind the counter in most flying J's so you need to ask for them.

Thanks Wayne, but I'm not sure we're on the same page. These are 9" in diameter, polished chrome and are much more substantial than a $5 item. I hope I'm mistaken.

Do they look like a baby moons? If so, then that's them, they are identical to the ones that came stock on the front wheels of my 05.

Chris - I lost one of mine also and had difficulty finding one at an RV center. Noticed while driving the highways that many trucks had front hubs that looked like mine so I too, just as Wayne, stopped at a Flying J. They didn't have the right ones (theirs were all 'three gap' hubs and the four gap ones were sold out. Just across the highway was a Pilot so I checked there and found the correct hubs at the price Wayne said. My wife had to pick me up off the floor because I was expecting to have to fork over at least $30. Check it out.

I found out there is two different qualities of hub caps. After buying the cheaper one for $6.00 and loosing it severasl days later, I went into a truck supply place here in Fairbanks and bought the last one they had for $9.00. The difference was heavier metal and a different black clip that was probably much harder than the cheaper ones with the aluminum clips. So far I have not lost that one and plan to buy several more after they reorder this spring.

All I know is my OEM caps fell off going through Oklahoma last February and the cheapies have been on ever since. They still look as good as new. My cheapies came with spring steel clips. $9-vs-$5 still a great buy compared to most things we buy for our rigs.

Wayne - I agree. My rt front came off last year and I bought to @ $5 with the black steel clips. Bought 2 because they looked better and were not as flimsy as the original.

The baby moon hub caps, rear 1-piece and also a rear 2-piece (cap comes off at the end) can be found at toll free phone (877)HUB-KING, (482-5464)
These are stainless steel which is a lot better than chromed steel. Don't know what kind Flying J and Pilot sell, but for the price quoted I would guess Chrome Steel. I do know I bought some mud flap weights for the flaps behind the rear wheels made of chrome steel. They rusted in less than two months. So replaced with Stainless Steel at a cost of about three time more but there as shinny as the day I installed. There is a difference.
