HWH Jack Issue/Problem

My 1998 Alpine 36FDS has the HWH 610 system.

The driver side rear jack will not extend.

Since all of the other jacks extend automatically or by using the the individual buttons I assume that neither the pump nor the solenoids are at fault. Is that correct?

I have not checked fluid level yet. Could low fluid level affect only one jack?

Where should I begin?

Thanks for suggestions.

Low fluid could be an issue but that would be very low and would vary by jack based on jack deployment sequence ....does motor/pump run? does pump change pitch while running....each jack is controlled by a separate solenoid...so could be a solenoid or as simple as the electrical connection for that jack--either at the pump, or at the control panel, though less likely at panel...faulty jack sensor would be a secondary concern...

My solved HWH 625 issue was a single fuse, almost inserted properly. This, after studying the schematic diagram, etc. for more than an hour. Start with the simple.

Agree--keep it simple....the rest of the system seems to work so focus on the jack electrical connections fist.....

Check the electric plug for the home position switch at the jack. unplug it, shake it, blow on it, say a prayer and plug it back in.
good luck!

Here is a link to a pdf for the HWH 625 service manual.

https://www.hwhcorp.com/ml35963.pdf

Go to p. 13, and scroll down to Part 11, ONE OR MORE JACKS WILL NOT EXTEND, OTHER JACKS ARE FUNCTIONING

Hope this can help.

first, unplug the pressure switch on that jack. manually extend the rear jacks until they lift a little distance.
do an ohms test from the unplugged wire to ground. if it does not show a ground, replace it.
if it shows a ground, go to the hydraulic solenoid for that jack. do an ohms test between the two wires in the connector from the solenoid. it should read 10.6 to 15.6 ohms.
if its outside those parameters, replace it. it would be good to ohm test all of the solenoids. if those read ok, then start suspecting the control box.
BUT do the simple stuff first. do not start replacing parts till you are confident you are correct.
above all else, get a service manual. thats the key to a correct diagnosis.
