Dennis,
Is that a trick question? We all know it holds nothing when it’s empty.
It will take about 4 gallons to fill. Our hydraulic oil cooler developed a leak along a weld. After reading about a method for emptying the reservoir using a drill powered pump, I headed out and bought the necessary supplies. The pump failed on launch, so I simply removed the hose on the rear of the cooler and let the remaining oil flow out.
Our reservoir had a label that said “Use 15w-40” the manual says the same. I disregarded those orders and filled with AW-46.
