Hydraulic oil reservoir

Anyone know how much the hydraulic oil reservoir holds when its empty? Thank you in advanced

When I replaced mine it was about four gallons. I did break some of the lines under the coach to get as much as I could out but I did not drain the lines going to the front of the coach.

Dennis,

Is that a trick question? We all know it holds nothing when it’s empty.

It will take about 4 gallons to fill. Our hydraulic oil cooler developed a leak along a weld. After reading about a method for emptying the reservoir using a drill powered pump, I headed out and bought the necessary supplies. The pump failed on launch, so I simply removed the hose on the rear of the cooler and let the remaining oil flow out.

Our reservoir had a label that said “Use 15w-40” the manual says the same. I disregarded those orders and filled with AW-46.

Bob, i just realized what a dumb question i asked!When i filled it back up it 3.5 gallons and thats on the full mark on the cold side of the dip stick
