Question Hydraulic Reservoir Service Question

We are currently in having our hydraulic fluid (brake booster, power steering, and fan hydraulics) serviced. During the service, it was noted that a fitting on the very top of the reservoir lid was broken off. Something had previously been screwed into the broken fitting. Could someone check theirs and let us know what is attached to yours? The technician doing the service work suspects some kind of a filter or a vent filter mechanisim. Thanks in advance.

On an '01 it is just a cap that also provides ventilation.

Our 06 also had a cap. I don't recall if it screwed on or was a gravity fit, but it looked like a breather type cap.

On my 2000, the breather/filler cap on the hydraulic reservoir by the engine looks just like the cap on the HWH reservoir for the jacks and room slides.

It is a breather and is screwed in. I had to Teflon tape the threads on mine, when I changed the oil, as it was leaking.

Thanks everyone. You guys and this forum are the greatest. I couldn't believe all of the responses as we have yet to depart Coach Care in Elkhart.
