I think I broke my roof A/C

Hi everyone i have a 2000 alpine coach 36ft so on my rear duo therm domatic roof ac compressor was not turning on {fan works} and i decided to go up there and see what it could be. After opening the cover i noticed that it was full of debris and rust. i cleaned it all up and replaced some of the broken connectors. I went down and turned on the ac and within a few seconds the compressor kicked on and ran for about 10 minutes and when i went back up on the roof i was trying to feel the radiator fines and they were warm. as soon as i touched the radiator fins my 20amp circuit breaker at home popped because the rv is not in use right now. i went and reset the breaker and then when i went back inside the rv the ac will run but the compressor will not engage. i went back up on the roof and tried to look at the capacitor and it was extremely rusty and i couldn't even pull any numbers on the side in order to determine what i had. any idea what i should be doing before i start throwing money at this thing? i should mention that this RV sat for quite a few years and both of the ac fans were stuck. i had to take pliers and loosen them both up. after doing that the fans work on both units and they spin freely. also the front ac works great.

Morning. The rust on the compressor terminals is really bad. However clean it up, polish the terminals to get a good connection and replace the capacitor. Check on line for the correct one. It is a dual and will be 5/35 mfd or similiar size. Certainly worth trying. Good luck

20 amps may not be sufficient to operate your AC unit, especially if you have anything else pulling current. Try running it off the generator instead.

I also think that your 20 amp service is too small even for one AC at a time.
First get more power, 30amp just to get one AC to start. Next if that doesn't solve the problem you can swap parts with the working unit until the problem switches units. That way you at least know what to look for.
