I'm having possible silver leaf, and Vansco problems

Hello all, about a month ago, My coach (2006 Apex 40) ceased to function from the Silverleaf control on the dash. No slides or bsmt. drawers would work.(In or out) This coach has the twin hydraulic pumps on the manifold. A primary and a secondary. I can still operate everything with the secondary system, but all controls must be accessed from outside the coach. The only thing I have yet to try is to see if the big solenoid that controls the primary pump is bad. So this morning, I got the bright idea to do a reset on the Vansco system and maybe that would cure the problem. So I did that, and now my rear Vansco is completely off line, and I'm at a loss to figure out what's wrong. I can do a lot of things, but this kind of electronics is way out of my pay grade. Front Vansco is still working. I need guidance.... . Dudley Do-Right, 2006 WesternAlpine Apex 40MDTS

DD-R, you need to get ahold of Enginner Mike. You might have read that ny VMM went out while driving. I had purchased a used VMM off eBay last year, when the community was saying that the VMM would no longer be available from the manufacturer. However, I had not had it programmed yet. After plugging it into the rear, I was able to get some of the functions back, but could not start the bus, because there was no communication to the engine and trans ECU’s. Mike showed me how to jump the bus and get it started. Meanwhile, I purchased another used VMM and had it sent to Mike for programming. It came in yesterday, plugged it in and with 1 minor change the bus is up and running like a champ.

Reach out to me at ernieo@ortizinc.org or 813-766-7728 and I can pass Mike’s info to you. Also, if the VMM is dead, I still have the unprogrammed unit that I could sell you. I could send it to Mike for programming and then he could send it to you.

Hello all. Hoping to get some advice on a issue with our 2006 Alpine Apex. The diagnostics dash screen (silverleaf screen) does not power up. Coach starts and drives fine.. and the other silverleaf functions appear to be fine.. but cannot get the small screen to load. It only blinks Alpine and never advances past that point. Any idea what might be happening? Note both front and rear vansco units appear to be working fine. but note output 1 on the front PDM is not lit up. 2 through 15 are lit when coach is started

Thanks for the feedback, Ernie O. B/4 I saw ur post, I talked to Mike and got the name of the salvage place where I could get a Vansco used. They know about "Engineer Mike", and I bought one from them ($1,600) and they ship direct to Mike, who then wipes it, and re-programs it, and sends it to (in this case), me; for a very nominal fee. I have installed it, and all is well. Thank God for Mike! . Dudley Haycraft, AKA Dudley Do-Right, 2006Apex40 MD TS

HWH Pump Question

Hi Dudley.

We also have an 06 apex. Both of our hwh pump motors went out and we are desperately seeking the information needed to order new pumps. We have called hwh several times but have not received a response. When you ordered yours. do you have the product number by chance? we are dead in the water with all slides out. Need it moved by Tuesday. Thanks so much

Thank you so much! I contacted Mason Dynamics and have pumps being sent. RV is still sitting at Country Thunder but thankfully I should be moving in the next few days. Really appreciate your response

Dudly
I have a 07 Apex and while in Alaska over 10 years ago I had the same problem. The TM102 located behind the passenger side access door to the holding tanks, that unit controls all coach functions of the silverleaf. I had a bad pin on the input plug left pin is the power to the TM102 either top or bottom(I can't remember which one). that pin powers the Tm 102 and without power the coach functions did not work, including the auto fill. Also there is a mini fuse in the battery compartment back wall that powers the TM 102 Check all fuses there and on back wall of where the access door is to the tanks. (Strange place for a house function fuse.) Let me know if that solves your problem or email meme and I will try to help.
