Importing Alpine into Canada: anyone know if it's been done?

Hello, I'm looking for some assistance, expert knowledge.

I'm looking a purchasing an Alpine coach and Import into Canada.
When I got riv.com and transport Canada, their lists show western rv is not an admissible vehicle mfg, due to them not submitting the necessary inspection/compliance information.

Do you anyone that has successfully imported one,
Were they ever formally certified for importation,
What the issues that have to be addressed to successfully Import?
Is there a company that bought the assets of wrv and mah have the necessary documentation?

Any guidance would help. I know it has been done before, as there is one for sale in Saskatchewan, but have been unable to contact to see how the imported it.

RIV is saying the only option is try to import and see what happens.....
Any advice would be appreciated.

We just did this BUT under the 15 year exemption. Not too difficult just paperwork and time. If the coach is not 15 years old then I would say it is just about impossible as RIV told me that the company has to make the application to be put on the list of acceptable coaches. Since they are no longer in existence they can't do that. A big can of worms if you try to bring it into compliance on your own. Find a good Alpine that is 15 years and all is good
