Inverter operation?

How can I figure out if my inverter is working correctly? I do not see a light on it. When I do not have shore power and the generator is off, shouldnt I have a few outlets that give me power? The 12v system works but I really have no inverter power. How can I test it?

What you pictured is a converter, not an inverter. It takes AC power and converts it to DC. If you want your AC outlets to work you need an inverter which takes DC power from batteries and makes AC power.

If that converter is the only thing that charges your batteries, someone removed your inverter/charger.

You installed a control panel but not the operational part of the system. It's a big 40 lb box that has large battery cables to it. Look around for the other end of the cable you plugged the panel into. Down in a compartment near the batteries.

Inverter or converter--either way its not OEM Alpine and it wouldn't work with a Xantrax control panel.

Open your storage bays and look up, it’s a common place for an inverter

Start looking here--behind cabinet door, in the space, between the foot of the bed and the bathroom wall--for a 36ft Alpine. Should look like the green/white box pictured in post #6--if its still the OEM inverter/charger equip.

I looked up in storage bays. Nothing. I looked behind/inside cabinet in bedroom. Only converter in there. I guess I don't have one. Someone took it out unless it is somewhere else.

On my 38" coach, the inverter is in the bedroom, in the wall across from the foot of the bed, on the passenger side. There is a wooden grill there for ventilation. The grill pulls off easily.

My owners manual says it is in the bedroom but it is not there. Whenever someone can get me a picture of the inverter in the bedroom, that would be great! I need a visual.
