Found my front end rattle...... now need to find a source of sway bar end links. I can get by with just bushings if i can get those separately.

Suggestions on where to look ?

*found zilch when searching

Thanks, but i've found those guys to be completely useless. Took them a month to tell me they didn't have a steering wheel, stovetop grate, and a couple other oddball items that i don't think anyone would be buying.
Plus they wanted $250 for a used leveling jack,.... it was only $300 to have mine rebuilt.

….Most of the sway bar bushing parts can be replaced with generic parts from NAPA or elsewhere--or the internet--just natch dimensions.....eg, rod ends look a lot like the rubber mounts on shocks....if you have front-end rattle, you may also want to check the bushing on your track [hard pan] bar....these are harder to replace--found my parts are used on Sterling trucks--just replace the whole bar [one front axle and one in back axle on yr 2001] vs trying to find threaded ends.

Thanks Scout, that was my plan if the correct/exact were either stooopid expensive or elusive.

Thanks for the tip on a possible cause for continued rattle. I'm getting them narrowed down.

The sway bar was made by Roadmaster . P/N 90545761/B253 endlink . Make sure you don't over tighten the bushing it will break the bolts. Took me three sets of bolts before I read the instruction. Contact Roadmaster 800-669-9690x169

My Amazon links showed up today, the links themselves are too short. They could work, but the bar wouldn’t be level. I’m going to just use the bushes and move on.

Don't know that the new rods wouldn't work...sway bar is all about dampening up/down movement side to side....guess level would be better as rods will fit more squarely [eg, 90 degrees] to the sway bar when bags are at normal ops height.

I was going to try to use them, but it would bring the bar too close to the leaf spring. I’d rather not potentially create another rattle noise.
Especially knowing that sway bars are supposed to be level. (Ive installed them before and that is the rule of thumb)

If you (or anyone) ever do need those sway bar bushings, I bought mine at Henderson's Line-Up
417 S.W. Henderson Lane, Grants Pass, OR 97527, http://hendersonslineup.com. They were originally called "ipd sway bars" but changed their name to Roadmaster RSS Anti-Sway Bars (I think they were bought up). I called Gary (ext. 17) there and he knows everything about everything.

This is all assuming your sway bar is the same as my OEM's on my 2003.

Yes, sway bars work best when horizontal.

First step is to verify correct RIDE HEIGHT on all 4 corners.

...great point on proper ride height adjustment.....but to a finer point on that --- significant amounts of weight can be shifted between the 4 - corners with little or no change in actual height -- goal is a more balanced weight distribution [side-to-side] on each axle.

As for sway bar rod bushings...they have a similar look to shock bushings while bar/axle bushings are purpose built.....replaced my rod bushings with shock bushings and they have worked fine for years...as for proper rod length, you kind of have to think the OEM rods were the correct length so replacing them with the same should be ok?????

PS--it did took me several years to discover that WRV had assembled my rod bushings with the metal washer retainers on the inside of the bushings--wrong!

PSS--for all you ACAers out there--clear and sunny in Quartzsite today--high of 70!
