Main Door Seal ABS Light

Hi All, I'm new here, wish I would of found this site sooner(before I revamped, remodeled and repaired my rig), looks like some real great information and Alpine experts are here. It may be on a post already somewhere (I cant find in searching) but I am looking to replace the large weather strip seal on the screen door / Main entry door. Does anyone know where I can get one or who make the metal screen door? Also has anyone ever encountered a ABS light that split second flashes occasionally.

PTL Engineering makes the door assembly.

Matt,
Welcome to the Alpine site.
The front door was mfg'd by PTL Engineering. 3333 JOHN CONLEY DR. LAPEER, MI 48446. PHONE:(810) 664-2310. FAX:(810) 664-2360.

As for the ABS light, it might depend on the year of your coach. I had a 2001 which did the light flicker once in awhile. WRV told me to cut in a relay in the wire going to the ABS light. I never got around to doing it. So don't know first hand if it would work or not.

You might want to join Alpine Coach Association which has one great perk, you can call (ACA pays him) Mark Harrop, who used to work for WRV, and has a lot of knowledge about Alpine. It's worth the price of membership.

Also please sign at the bottom of your posts with the year, length, door placement and slides. i.e. 2001, 36 FDDS, 2006, 40 FDQD etc.
This helps with replies from like owners.

Join the Alpine Coach Association and you'll find a great library, put together by this forum's members with lots of help from eMike. It will show manufacturers for the various components and has lots of DIY advice and references.

PTL still stocks all the parts you'll need.

Search the "ABS" threads and you'll see several different causes of illumination (pun intended).

I have a 2001 and the light also flickers from time to time. It also stays on awhile (a minute or two) when I first start up. Since it goes out I haven't worried about it.
