Malfunctioning Dash warning light cluster

On my '05 36FDDS during a recent extended trip the lower warning light cluster, all the lights began flashing. At first the trick of resetting them by turning ignition switch on and off, on and off waiting 15 seconds, then cranking, cleared the problem up. Now that does not work, and they continue to flash. Cummins West could not find a solution, and now it is at Freightliner, and they are scratching their heads. Any suggestion?

Both clusters of lights are fed off the computer in the speedo (also drives both gauge sets ea. side of the speedo). The feed is chained, and I think its speedo-to-upper and the lower is fed upper-to-lower. IIRC they flash if they lose signal from the speedo's computer. The feed wires are a twisted pair, purple & orange I think.

If that's a true recollection, then both upper & lower would flash if no signal from speedo-to-upper, and only the lower would flash is the link from upper-to-lower was loose and not making full contact. You can easily pull the phillips screws holding the idiot light to the dash & check these twisted pair wire connections (each has a plug end). One may be loose. IIRC there is no snap-in keeper setup on these plug ends.

Gerry- you can notify Freightliner of this thread for additional info on the Actia gauges & idiot lights.

Gerry was told by the shop he has Vansco warning (aka idiot) light clusters, not Actia, on his 05 Ltd.

Anybody else in the Alpine universe that can verify use of Vansco dash light clusters? Just on experience, I'm guessing the shop has made a bad conclusion, but WRV did some interesting non-standard stuff from time to time, so I'm checking.
