Need Info on an 2000 model "AE One Step One" awning...where to find..?

I've been looking for some good diagrams and operating instructions, as well as parts guide for my 2000 model "AE One Step One" patio awning.

No luck...anyone have link? All I can find is other models , most with auto retrieve etc., which mine does not have.

Trying to avoid calling Dometic just yet..

Thanks..Stan

Stan,

You're talking about a 10 year old item that isn't made anymore. Don't know why you are adverse to calling to find out where to get parts for the unit.

Barb:

Mainly because my coach "is" older...and they are seldom any help on older stuff...and I have called them many times on previous coach issues.

However, I did breakdown and call them again anyway....

Kinda like Charlie Brown trusting Lucy to hold the football while he kicks it.....I know better but I finally go ahead anyway.

Yep..they don't have any parts for it,and can't tell me anything about it...!

...but they can sell me all late model hardware, and I can use my old canvas and tube, maybe....

Just like always ..I'll fix it without them...custom fabrication is nothing new to me anyway. ..(ie: dba Stan's Customs)

Once in a while though ..it would be nice not to have to reinvent the wheel....just buy a part and fix it.

Stan

Well I guess I better whittle out more than one..heh heh.

At this stage I'm kinda like a square wheel myself...I don't roll as good as I once did...but I still flop over pretty good once in a while.

Maybe I'm still up to the refab of something simple like an awning support...

Stan..
