Looking for a supplier of JPEX, 1/2" tubing, that carries the pick fluid in the aqua hot system. I think that WRV used on my Aqua Hot system. Unable to find a supplier of it. It "Barrier Tubing QHRJPEX-0205FT" is written on the tubing and it is orange in color. I only need a couple feet and some fittings as the leak is where it goes into the top of the system. They cut it too short and didn't make a smooth bend at the fitting going into it and it has a minor leak now after taking it apart and redoing it. My unit was mfg. in 2007. Mel

I think it is Ipex. check with home depot or Lowe's. Its just high temp plastic .

Try a plumbing supply house. All pex of the same size should be the same. They also have joining products such as shark bite that allows you to join the pieces without tools.

I rechecked it and so did my Service Tech and it is JPEK and tried Lowes and Home Depot. the wall thickness of the tubing has to be right for the fittings. Mel

It's got to be some off brand pipe because the pipe is called PEX.

Push comes to shove, use a piece of 5/8 heater hose and two clamps to lengthen what you have.

I am not sure PEX tubing is for Fuel use, but here is a site to get some.

This may be more what you are looking for.

That second site is only good for 170 degrees. Aqua runs 180

Again, I am not sure what the OP is using this tubing for. Could be that this product, Thermapex is what you are looking for.

I would call them and explain what you are doing and ask if they know where you can buy short lengths since it appears they sell only coils on the web site.

Pex has two heat grades. Stuff used in houses (and available @ HD & Lowes) is good to 170. There is a higher heat rating available.

Have you tried calling AquaHot, they may know or may even sell it. They show it at the bottom of this page along w/fittings, but I don't see anything more specific.

Chuck's post sparks an interesting idea- buy a short piece of copper pipe, or buy a 3" or so brass nipple & appropriate mating fitting to extend from the AHot up. Then use the compression fitting on the trimmed off jpex you are left holding. You may need a bushing to mate compression to brass NPT.

I contacted Aqua Hot and they suggested just using automotive 3/4" heater hose, a couple clamps and a 1/2" nat pipe thread to 3/4" barb fitting. So will give that a try . thanks for all the replies. Mel
