No Headlights

Hi

I have no headlights or parking lights. Probably a fuse. Does anyone know exactly where the headlight fuse is? I've looked under the dash on the passenger side but I don't see a fuse marked specifically "headlights"!

Thanks
Geoff

Hi,

Quite often there is another set of fuses under the hood. It may also be an automatic circuit breaker.

Do you have an owners manual?

It should be in the box labelled "unswitched". It could also be a bad switch.

For safety reason, headlight are on a self reseting circuit breaker , usually in the headlight switch. Park lights usually have their own fuse, after the headlight switch. Your going to have to check for power to the switch, if you have power in , but no power out, then you need a switch.

Hi

Thanks everyone. Algoma...I looked in the "unswitched" box and found "HDLP/SW"...it is a 10amp auto-reset CB. I pulled it out and put in a straight ATC mini fuse and no headlights! So if this is the fuse for the headlights and parking lights then it must be a bad switch. We are putting the coach in storage tomorrow and heading home to BC so further testing will have to wait!

Thanks again

Geoff

The headlight switch on mine is the Motorcraft SW5262. Check the number on yours as Ford made so many variants of this switch.
