objects

I have these objects on my ceiling and side walls. I have no Idea what they are for. Does anybody know what they are? I took one down and it has a single wire and nothing else...

….my guess is UCOs [unidentified ceiling objects]….[smile]…..actually -- if they have small oval/round white covers with open slits, they are likely the air temp sensors for the ceiling heat pumps/ ACs.....
