Odometer problem

Has anyone had a problem with the odometer racking up to many miles?

Some of the odometers will read either kilometers or miles. It might be worth while to check to see if yours has accidently been switched to kilometers.

Check to see if your measuring Kilometers or miles, Kilometers racks up much fast than miles.

FWIW ... I know the Cummins ECM on my ISL is capable of displaying kilometers or miles because mine was being replaced years ago and they didn't get it programmed right.

We went to Freightliner and they don't work on Peak chassis so couldn't help us. We are sure it is not changing to kilometers. Just would like to get it fixed as we don't know the accurate miles on the RV. Anyone had this problem?

Have you any idea how much the odometer is out by % wise?
Checked it against your car over a distance , or against mile marker signage, on the freeway?
Is the speedometer accurate?
Coach equipped with the original size tires?

Push the trip button to put it on the odometer setting then hold the button in for a few seconds. This should change the reading from kilometers to miles or miles to kilometers. See if that helps.

I had trip this summer and calculated my fuel mileage. To my amazement I was getting 14 mpg. Was I happy until I noticed I also drove a lot more miles than I thought. Then I figured out I had reset the odometer to kilometers. What a disappointment. I also have a 2003 Alpine.
