Oil fill location for 1999 Alpine

Is there a fill location for motor oil other than the fill cap on the valve cover. I have 1999 Alpine Coach with a 330hp Cummins side radiator.

Thanks much!

Do you see an elbow off the front of the timing cover with a screw cap ?

L. Dohrman,
I assume that your 1999 has the King Controls 2600 Electronic Throttle Control.
You and all owners owners of coaches with the King Controls unit need to be aware that there are no new or used replacements, parts, or service for these throttle controls.

When your control fails, the remedy is to convert to a pneumatic, hydraulic, or cable system.

Charles Young at cry42@windstream.net has developed a kit for converting to an air throttle.

My King Controls unit failed last November. I just completed installing an air throttle system yesterday. Could have done it a lot faster but life gets in the way. The system works very well and responds much more quickly than the King Control did.

I am trying alert 1998-1999 Alpiners and owners of SOB's equipped with the Cummins 8.3 mechanical engine, Allison transmission and the King Controls unit.
Some may want to make the switch before the King unit fails and avoid being stranded on the highway and incurring a towing bill that is greater than the cost of all the air throttle components.

I am still fighting with AAA for reimbursement, but that's another story.

Enjoy your Alpine.

I made a contraption involving a transmission funnel, spring clamped to the "hood" and a couple feet of 5/8" heater hose to add the oil into the timing cover fill port. Now that really makes life easier...

Thanks for your input. Mine has a fill location mentioned by Skip426 which took care of a lot of spillage etc.
Appreciate your help.
