Oil light and alarm

I cranked my coach up just to check a few things and the oil light came on along with the maintenance light. I checked the oil and it was low so I topped it off. Its showing a little over 50psi. on the gauge. Is there a reset for the light. I tried some the hokey pokey things pushing the gas peddle and brakes but nothing. Any one know where the sensor is located?

The ECM may need more 'samples' of the sensor data before resetting the light. One thing you might try to hurry things along is disconnect the chassis battery for 15 minutes.

I tried that but it didn't work. I've ordered a new oil pressure sending unit. I read on several forums and it seems like sending unit failure is a common problem. Looks like the starter needs to come out to reach it.

Problem fixed. I had a bad oil pressure sensor. Cummins part number 4076930 if anyone is interested.

It's great when you can fix a problem on your own and save a trip to the shop, well done
