Onan 7500 won't stay running

Does anyone know if these two wires need to be connected to something? They are labeled as followed.

TT1-GROUND
TT1+P1-3

Generator has a code 32 for slow cranking but it cranks fine after I charged the batteries and cleaned all the connections. It will also produce no ac at the terminal block when I hold down the start botton (only way to keep it running) as soon as I let go of start the generator dies.

Starting when you hold the button down, then dying when you release is normally a sign of 1 of the two boards having failed.

It could also be the slip rings need some polishing.

Onan does print a very good troubleshooting guide. There may be a copy in the “Files” section of this board.

Not sure about the loose wires but would offer another suggestion--holding down the start button starts/primes the fuel pump. If the genset stalls after releasing the button, it might be a fuel pump/injector pump issue--just a guess.

I think those are the wires for the optional "Hour Meter"

Mine had the same problem. Had to take it to cummins and have the board replaced and all is good now

I know it's simple, but verify you have enough fuel in the tank and or the rv is not angled such that the pickup for the generator is uncovered.

There's an oil level/pressure sensor as well. If the oil is low or that sensor has gone bad it won't stay running. Might be as easy as removing the sensor and see if that helps
