I made the big leap! Traded the Dolphin for a 2005 36MDDS with 9200 miles. Will take delivery next week. I may have a few questions (hopefully not problems). I bought it while my DW was out of town. I hope Portland has a big supply of flowers!

Twosailors, I know the people that traded in the 36MDDS you purchased and will be happy to answer any question you have.

Twosailors,
Welcome to the Alpine family!
You should take Kip up on his offer, as I know he and all the folks at Uhlmann will be more than helpful. But, don't be shy about asking your questions here, as there are a lot of folks who know a LOT about their Alpines here (I'm not one of them).
Hope to see you soon at an ACA rally! And, as Hugh notes, there is a region of ACA, NoWACA, that includes owners from the Pacific Northwest. They are a great group, and you would enjoy their rallies and learn lots.
Good luck with your new purchase!

Thanks to all. I am going to join the ACA and NoWACA (sounds like something out of Star Wars). Hopefully we will meet some of you folks.
Tuesday I part with the Dolphin and Thursday do the walk through on the Alpine.
Brad

Brad- My wife and I also have an '05 36MDDS. If you enjoy yours as mcuh as we do ours you and the DW will be extremely happy. We are currently on our first "real" trip of 2+ weeks and approx. 3000 miles by the time we are finished. L.A. to Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and home. The coach has behaved nearly flawlessly (except, of course, for a problem or 2 of my own making- I'll report on those later when I have a little more time and my bruised ego has recovered). We love our coach!

Rick,
The only RV'rs that don't make mistakes now and then are those that don't use there rig.
Right now I'm like a kid that just ordered his first bike from a catalog and can't wait to go for a ride.

Brad,
your absolutely correct. Cyndi and I just returned from a similar trip that Rick took (LA to Newport OR for the rally then on to Idaho, Washington, Oregon and Vancouver Island BC then home 3700 miles) and we couldnt wait to get back in the coach when we got home. We have been "home" for almost 3 weeks now and have already been on two trip and are currently on our third (this one to Huntington Beach then north to Merced for the weekend) You wont believe the difference in driving an Alpine from your Dolphin!!!!!

Congartulations!!!!
I know your love your Alpine! They are so easy and fun to drive you won't want to go home. So instead of sending flowers to DW You'll be in the coach driving the country side picking them for her instead! HAPPY RV-ING!!!!!
