There are a couple of brands of plastic spray paint available at Lowe's and Home Depot. Be sure to clean the surface well and rough it with a pad. It doesn't hurt to prime it with plastic primer.
The key is to use a paint made for plastics or it won't adhere properly.

I think you will find that painting the Kingdome will kill it. Anything that will weaken the signal is not a good idea. I would suggest you ask Kingdome about painting the dome before you proceed.

When I was in the military, we would paint all of our antennas, but we used a non-lead based paint, and back then it was specifically called antenna paint.
The best thing to do is check with King Controls. They may be able to make a recommendation.
Good luck.

Maybe that is why it was left unpainted.

I don't know about painting the dome, but the base of our white dome was painted black by our dealer when we bought the coach new 5 years ago. It had a white dome and we wanted a black one, so he swapped the dome and had the base painted on the coach by a local contractor. It has looked fine ever since. So the plastic can be painted, but I agree it would be good to ask Kingdome about painting it first.

The owners manual says not to paint it, as I remember.

Another one who says not to paint the dome. I was just reviewing or manual to check on some switch settings. In the manual it specifically states not to paint the dome. Further states it will void the warranty. Warranty probably not an issue at this point. But lose of signal and functionality still would be.

Might be better to just replace it with a black one. A little costlier, but avoids all the issues. Ours came black. Now I have to paint all the other covers too match! sigh....

Why not leave the KD the way it is and paint everything else white, that way all will blend in with the roof? I have the platinum covers on the AC and when I replace them (which will be soon ) everything will be white.

You can purchase some stuff KD sells, called rain magic, which is supposed to keep water shedding off. You can also use any good dry siliocone product like 3M brand, I do it every six months. Helps some, not great, because rain seems to really knock out the signal for us.

Winegard says they can be painted with a non-metallic paint, but that the signal loss is about 5%. They offer $200 white and black replacements, also.
I was avoiding painting it, but the other half says the white looks "dorky" (maybe talking about me?). So I'll paint it gold and if it kills the signal too much, I'll order a black one.

Talk to a manager at Camping World. I noticed one near us had discontinued the King Domes and I ask what they were doing with the displays which are just shells... they said didn't know but would check into it. A few days later the manager called and asked when I would like to pick the black dome for FREE.

Check this link, they might have a black one for sale. Also check APA's site for the link to audbrys since they purchased a lot of alpine equipment.
