I kind of like the little doors with openings in them that came on my rig.

They just have a big enough opening for the 50 amp cord when parked and hooked to power.

There's also another 2. One for the city water hose and another for the stinky slinky.

A mouse can easily get through the gap in photo #2. Might as well leave it completely open with a piece of cheese inside.

I made my own out of some scrap plastic and aluminum. Locks in place with a wing nut.

We must have bigger mice around here.

Never had a problem with mice getting in there, although there's nowhere for them to go if they do get in there.

Power cord access hole, plug.

I use this product. The box has enough to seal more than one opening at least three on my coach.

I bought an extra screw-in hatch door and drilled a hole the same size as the cord near the edge. Then I made a couple of cuts to open the hole all the way to the edge of the hatch door. That way I can push the hole right onto the cord and get around that huge plug on the end. Just hold the cord in the hatch door while you screw it in. There is a very small gap left that I fill with a little bit of bronze steel wool (that won't rust).

The JR Products 5" deck plate 31035 (black) or 31025 (white) fit mine.

(Is there any way to get the pictures to load right-side up?)
