Productive afternoon……

Finally got off my backside today and put the new bags under the coach. And it went smoother than expected. Rears were easier than the fronts, but the fronts weren’t too bad. Now I need to make some time to go on a trip……

Nice work and definately on the "to do" list.
Just had a friend stuck in Michigan for a week with a blown bag on their Essex. Spartan was finally able to provide them with two bags. Firestone says they are obsolete, but apparently the only thing obsolete is the original part number. They are, however, in short supply....

I'd be forever grateful if you could share your purchase details.

Thanks, Mike.

Michigan Truck Spring…… $935 shipped.
They’ve been on back order forever. Firestone finally got in gear and started making em again. Got mine about a month ago, and finally put em on yesterday.

Man lucky you, we fought the left front air bag and reshaped 2 wrenches then the rear one of the single nuts just spun on the shaft had to cut the air bag apart to get vice grips on the shaft to hold it. Should have been about a 3 hour job and turned into about 8 for me

The bottom nut on the passenger side rear froze up right at the end of the stud, and started backing the stud out. So I had to cut it with a sawsall. That was really my only hiccup. I used an 1-1/8 line wrench on the front bottom nuts, which were already loose.

I need to crawl back under the front and trace the airlines for leaks. My front will sit down after about a day. Has done it since I bought it. I suspect it’s leaking at the dump valve. Just need to find it. Meant to look for it while swapping the bags, but forgot.

Thanks for the part numbers Jimmy.
Four new bags and Koni's are ordered.
I'm thinking those original bags and Bilstiens have reached the end of the line lol. Now if I'd'a only ordered them before I replaced all the brakes last year...
Oh well, it's only a few more busted knuckles.

You'll like the konis. They definitely improved the ride on mine, and it rode pretty damn good with the old bilstiens.

I'm hoping so. Without getting too political, let's just say our roads in Washington suck and aren't keeping up with the ever increasing road maintenance tax dollars. To add insult to injury, as of Jan1 2023 we'll have the distinguished honor of the highest fuel tax in US history. The tire and alignment shops are sure busy though.
