2006 Alpine Apex
My Silverleaf shows "Rear Marker Lamp" fault. Rear marker lights do not light with headlights. Vansco output 9 is on. Output 8 is blinking. All other rear lights are OK. I did a reboot of the RV.
Any ideas?

Not an expert but will give it a shot. A blinking output LED indicates a fault. It can be one of five faults (not including outputs 19 and 20). These are short circuit, over current, back drive, no power detected at the output pin, and open circuit.

According to my documentation outputs 8 and 9 on the rear Vansco are "Marker Lamp Rear 1" and "Marker Lamp Rear 2" respectively. I would try the simple stuff first and check bulbs and look for a shorted wire. I am not 100 percent sure of this but I believe the wire number for the rear markers and license plate is 1008.

When you did your Vansco reset did you wait a few minutes before powering it back up. Also were you doing any work in the back of the coach before the failure.

Admit up front that Vansco is a mystery to me -- so not sure if there is a similar relationship within Vansco but would look at the 7-pin electrical towed plug on the back of the coach, and/or the towed connection if problem occurs with towed plugged in. Water intrusion into the towed plug is a common issue and the Vansco power unit has a limited capacity to tolerate shorts or bad connections....

The bulbs are ok. Our toad has marker lights when I turn the coach head lights on. It looks like a wiring problem. I will not do any night driving until I fix it. We're in El Paso heading for Jetty Park camp ground (Cape Canaveral) in Cocoa Beach FL. I'll have 3 weeks to work on when we get there.

I now have rear marker lamps.
It's a long story but this is what I did (including rebooting several times).
When the headlights are on, the rear Vansco output 8 indicator is always flashing. Rear markers are off.
I did everything to determine what the problem is. I cut the wire for output 8 (pin 24). I wired the rear lights directly from the 12v battery through a 10a fuse. The lights did not come on. I wired in new test lights in parallel with jumpers to pin 24 and the indicator still flashed and jumper lights did not come on. That test setup worked fine from the 12v battery.
I cut the wire for output 9 (pin 23) that feeds the toad rear marker lights. I connected the coach lights to pin 23 and the rear lights (5 at the top, 2 tail lights, and licence plate) now work with the headlight switch. The toad lights also work. Pin 23 is now my rear marker driver wire for the coach and toad.
Pin 24 is now unused.
I still have a "rear marker lamp" fault indicated on the Silverleaf.

As a side bar--the Vansco power modules have a limited amp output level for most, if not all circuits. For example--some owners have had issue with trying to tow large trailers with multiple clearance/running lights, so have had to install relays, fused directly to the bats, with the relay trigger wired to the Vansco output circuit.....
