Reason for "hump" coolant hoses?
Curious, does anyone know the reason for the "hump" coolant hoses [Gates #23547] connections used by WRV on the radiator out/inlets, and water pump output tube? Straight 2-1/4 coolant tubing, cut to size, is a lot cheaper?

Gates recommends the hump hoses for vibration absorption and/or fitting misalignments where a short length of hose is required.
