Reassemble Front door lock

We lost the key for the paddle handle door lock so I took it apart to find a key code. then DW found the key but I can't put it back together properly. I think it is the bottom paddle with the swivel piece on it that is not quite right. Anyone done this before? I can't seem to upload a picture.

Geoff,

I haven’t repaired the door latch but I have developed a solution for either a lost key or arriving at the coach without keys. We have a magnetic Hide a Key somewhere under the coach, it has a key for the basement storage doors. Somewhere inside the basement are keys for the entry door. Finally, somewhere inside the coach is a key for the ignition.

The only flaw in the system is remembering where everything is hidden.

That's what DW keeps saying!! I think I will heed your advice and keep extra keys somewhere. I will also have the problem of remembering where!

In the meantime I contacted Ann at Tri Mark and she was able to send me a diagram and using that I was able to get it back together.

Now where did I put that key!!

Geoff

Another solution, Master lock sells a “lock box” similar to what Realtors used to use, it has a settable combination holds several (like 6) keys. You can lock it to the chassis, like in the engine compartment, and you will also always have keys. You can also use it if you drop the coach somewhere after they close/before they open and leave them the keys locked in the box, Just call them with the combo, then change the combo the next time you use it.

Does this photo help at all? It's from an '04.

I never use the lock in the door latch. For one thing I understand that they were all keyed alike! I only use the deadbolt, which were not keyed alike. And I had the deadbolt keyed to match my house deadbolts. So if I have my house key, I have my Alpine Coach key.

The lock box will also fit on a hole in the shelf on the propane tank nicely, and there is no lock on that bin.

The picture is what I have on my coach and the diagram is the one Ann from Trimark sent me . Between the two I was able to put it together.

Thanks everyone
