Wiper seals on the jacks are likely full of crud. Have you sprayed em down lately? A shot of silicone spray on the seals and shafts every now and then does wonders.

Actually--HWH recommends WD-40 for the jack cylinders....inside seals are self-lubricating, so its just about cleaning the outside scrapers.

There’s a lot of posts in here saying that hwh has changed their recommendations multiple times over the years. I use wd40 silicone. Works great, and doesn’t attract/catch dirt.

I go to HWH yearly for a free inspection of the system. They have always used WD40 on my jacks. I will need to check the silicone spray out next time I am there.

Their instructions specifically recommend WD40 and Not silicone.
Some people just have their mind made up and rationalize it by using WD40 Silicone?
I read and follow HWH tips & recommendations and have never seen silicone recommended but open to links if anyone can provide one.

From HWH FAQ...
49.****Is there something I can lubricate my jacks with to make them retract faster? How long should it take to completely retract my jacks?

Lubricating a jack rod can help with retraction time but if lubrication is necessary, there is most likely a problem with the springs or the jack itself.**The only thing HWH recommends to use is WD-40.**Refer to the following link for jack maintenance information:**ml47149.pdf.**The following link gives detailed information about allowable jack retraction times:**mi9553.pdf

Ml47149.pdf specifically recommends using WD40 to clean off silicone if it was used.

WD-40 is a brand. That brand makes many different kinds of lubricants. https://www.wd40.com/products/
Just saying WD-40 doesn't cut it. If they mean original, then specify it.
All I buy is WD-40 silicone or dry lube these days. I use the silicone product on my hydraulic rams, and the dry lube on my slide mechanisms. No build up as the original WD-40 causes.

attached is a illustration of a 2008 freightliner cummins tiffin coach by Crusingator (not my work). it may give you some additional lube points to check as it is very excellent.

And also remember that there are variances within the model year. WRV used stock until it ran out, so as is my case, I have a 2005, with a 100 gal fuel tank (all the literature shows a 125 gal tank) it was manufactured in September 2004. It has everything else to specs.

When you lubricate the king pins, a diesel mechanic recommend lifting the front wheel off the ground to allow lube to access the contact surface.
