FWIW ... I have the original Motosat satelite dish that works with Directv SD only. Recently, we made a change to our Directv account resulting in the old SD receiver being removed from the account. Directv refused to put it back on the account.
So, I purchased an H24 receiver which is HD capable but also still supports the old 18” Round satellite dish. Yes, there are some channels not available on SD but we’re getting enough to be satisfied while traveling. If the Motosat dish fails or we lose too many SD channels then it’ll be time for a Winegard Traveler. So far we’re ok.
