Hi there,
We are in Mexico and can't get to a shop for a while. Both of my slides, Gen. and kitchen, are out of adjustment. Is this something I can do? and can someone tell me how? The front slide will keep, but the kitchin slide is scratching the kitchen floor.

Thank you...Steve&Jan

Hello and Welcome Steve & Jan:

I have heard that some of the early Alpines slides rams were welded into the frame they melded some of the pad on the rams. You will have to look at the pads when the slide is out. If they are melted the rams will have to be pulled and the pads replaced.

You can adjust the genslide if it is rubbing against the body when closed. On the bottom of the slide (Front end you will see a large nut with an adjustable Allen screw in the center) this will adjust the up and down movement of the front end. You will also see the same adjustment on the kitchen slide. I hope this helps.

Sounds like you need to lower the slide room with the allen screws to to keep it off floor when retracted. I had to tinker with mine as it was walking the outside rubber seal when closed.

Had similar problem on my 2000. Prior to getting it fixed, when opening or closing slide, used a piece of heavy felt between the slide and floor to protect the finish of the 'wood' floor. Worked fairly well.
