How/where, does the winch for the slide emergency pull-in on the 1999 alpine coach attach? The hydraulic manual does a great job of stating the crank handle could be hazardous, but no where does it say where to attach things (ends, the winch and the hook.) I have called WRV and am still waiting 2months later for a sketch. I'm thinking, I should not have to fabricate brackets and linkages myself to make this work. It has been in use and productions since 1999.
Does anybody else have a sketch or method for emergency operations hooks-ups?
Thanks
Dave

I believe if you look under the slide out from the outside,on the coach wall between the slide rams, you will see a round removeable
cap. Unscrew the cap and there should be a place to attach the winch.

Thanks, I will slide the slide out again and double check. I have looked and looked and that wall between the slide rams is nothing but a flat metal. No accommodations for a pass thru. The under side of the slider again is just a nice smooth metal fairing, Looking at both sides the fairing is smooth and really flimsy, but looks nice. Am I not looking in the right place?
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave ~

If you put your slide out....do not look at that body panel you are referring to....look at the inner wall where the slide rams go "into" the coach. Between them is a round removable cap like we have for the electric cable and sanitary station etc. If you unscrew that cap, you will be able to see the loop you can latch your winch to. It might be easier to see of your basement front area is emptied and you look from the passenger side looking in towards the other side of the coach. You will see that removeable white cap.

Hope that helps! ;-)
