Slide out seals

Good afternoon. The seals on my FDTS 40 are getting wavy and there has been some minor leakage on all three slides. I have had two mobile repair men look at it. The first didn't even call back with an estimate. The second one told me that the slides have to be removed to do it right.

Any thoughs or experiences on this matter? I would be grateful. Bob

The slides do not have to be removed to replace seals. You just have to find someone that knows what they are doing.

Take a look at this Alpine group Alpine Coach Association

Slide out seals

Thank you Don for your input. That is what I suspected, and what I was hoping for. I will keep on looking for a mobile tech that is willing to take on the job. Thanks again for your hep, Bob

That might be true for a CC but am not sure you can remove/replace an Alpine seal without the slide being removed..... again, not sure what "wavy" means????

It would be totally stupid for a manufacturer to build a coach where you would have to partially disassemble it to change some seals.

I don't know about Alpine, that is the reason I sent the OP to the Alpine website
