Slides will not retract and leveling jacks will not drop
Have A 2006 Alpine Coach limited series
Im parked at my site 90m south of San Antonio, Tx
Slides will not Retract. I cannot drive to repair shop, so contact several RV mobile repairmen.
1. Computerize Pad was faulty. Order HWH ($500.)
It was not problem.
2. Another said Tank pump of the hydraulic system not working
Tried to order through HWH. They are hard to get in contact. left call-back
number. never returned call.Repairmen kept me up with status.
3. Third repairman contacted basic said the same. need to order pump.
4. Called repairmen in Georgia, whom I trust and repairs. Went through some
test points tested the pump. It came on. Possibly one of 8 solenoids is bad.
Was not to complete. Still unable Drive Off.
Is there anyone had same problem that can share solution?
Has anyone ever retracted slides manually?
Would like to get slides in to drive Georgia from Texas.
Appreciate any assistance
Thanks

When the coach was relatively new the hydraulic hose that had been installed over the radiator (typical of the 2005 WRV36mdds) and the heat blew out all the fittings which caused the slides to move out. Fortunately it happened when I was backing into my camp site. After releasing the hydraulic pressure we (a group of 6) were able to push the rear slice back in and I was able to secure it with 2x4s in the inside. The front side was winched back in and secured with the ratchet. There was insufficient room in the basement to make a complete turn with the ratchet handle therefore I had to take it off and after every half turn and re position it for the next turn. I was able to drive it safely to the nearest HWH dealership. The jackets were never put down--why push your luck.

On my 1999, there is a ratchet winch in the cargo bay. You hook it up to the slide to pull it in. Also one under generator to pull it in. There is a screw aces port under the slide to feed cable through.

...I will send you my phone number via msg....I've owned a 2003 Alpine since new and I live in the San Antonio area and perhaps I can help you.....doesn't sound like you are getting very good help on diagnostics....jacks are on springs and can be retracted without the pump.....slides can also be retracted too but with some effort....

The pump, which drives the entire hydraulic system, is available on Amazon for about $100.
Its a likely suspect and also a pretty easy replacement project.
Even if you winched in the slide and drove off, you will not be able to open the front to get fuel if the pump is not working.

Agree with above, except I believe the OP has an electric generator slide, not hydraulic. My 2004 generator slide is electric and I believe later (and maybe a bit earlier) versions are as well.

To the OP.
Here is a link to HWH instructions on how to manually retract the main slide.
https://www.hwhcorp.com/mp349500.pdf
Don't know if you rear bedroom slide is hydraulic or electric, however.

Unless I missed something, he has an Alpine and has the HWH system for the main slide, at least. The link covers the procedure. Yes, there are different HWH systems, but they vary mostly in the electronic controls. The basic method of retracting the hydraulic rams for the main slide should be covered by this link. It is the method for my 2004 Alpine and I believe his 2006 would be the same. The link is an effort to get him on the road, not to fix the fault, which would require more specific information, of course.
Edit: The post below clarified a major difference in systems. With that in mind, I will defer to robertkathy in that we do need more information from the OP.
Always learning.

the 625 is total different, under the out side covers at each end of the slide there are threaded rods that you put a 3/4 socket on and do 6 turns at a time to manually bring in. if more then 6 turns at a time they will strip ask me how i know

Good to know. I'll include that in an edit.

jd, what did you finally do? did you get it to retract?
if the motor runs, you can get the slide in. open the retract solenoid for the room, and jumper the 12 volt relay on top of the motor.
sorry i didnt see your post. please feel free to call me anytime,
1 602 549 3638. leave a number and a message. i will call you back asap.
i can help.
