Are you sure that waterproofing would be a solution?
We don’t have the Smart Beds on ours. The basement is normally a dry location, save for a plumbing or hydraulic leak. In the event of such a leak, I’d prefer the, relatively easy to replace, carpet and plywood absorb as much of the leak as possible rather than have the leak flow to the next surface.
If it were mine, I’d just replace the wood and carpet and move on to the next project.
