Smart Bed Flooring Base Replacement

As you all may have seen on a previous thread, I had a massive hydraulic fluid leak from one of the solenoids on the remote manifold. I replaced the solenoid with little issue and all is well other than the need to rebuild one or two for another Smart Bed.

Now the issue of the day is; the wood under the indoor/outdoor carpet is saturated with hydraulic fluid! I was curious if anyone else has replaced the wood flooring in a Smart Bed and what the water proofing solution should be?

Are you sure that waterproofing would be a solution?

We don’t have the Smart Beds on ours. The basement is normally a dry location, save for a plumbing or hydraulic leak. In the event of such a leak, I’d prefer the, relatively easy to replace, carpet and plywood absorb as much of the leak as possible rather than have the leak flow to the next surface.

If it were mine, I’d just replace the wood and carpet and move on to the next project.
