Storing HWH leveling jacks when house batteries are low

I have a 2003 Alpine 36 FDDS coach that I can't move because the front leveling jacks are fully extended and the front wheels are off the ground. When I go through the HWH protocol for storing the jacks I get a low battery warning light even if I have the the engine and generator running and shore power hooked up and the jacks will not raise. I want to take the coach in to get my new house batteries installed properly and get the HWH system checked out and working properly. Is there any way to operate these jacks manually? I'm a newbie and don't even know where the hydraulic reservoir and pump are located. Thanks in advance, Jim 57759

In my experience, it is difficult to talk to HWH in a reasonable time frame. The is a member on here, I think his name is Paul Maddox, that really knows about HWH systems. I am not familiar with the low battery warning light you mentioned. Is that a warning on the HWH panel? What model is the HWH system you have? There are manuals available for download on the HWH site. Maybe Paul will chime in here.

open the hydraulic solenoids located on top of the pump. if they have tee handles, turn them out till it gets tight, then turn about three turns more. that releases the pressure, and jacks should retract,
if the solenoids have a 1/4 nut pressure releasr, open the nuts three tuerns no more than that.
if it has the plastic lever release, just flip the levers 90 to the valve.

The HWH pump and solenoids are located behind the small door just to the rear of the PS front wheel. This should help you get started.

this is a difficult area to do anything concerning the pump assembly. check in the compartment just behind the access door for the pump.
there may be a hole cut into the wall between the pump compartment and the storage compartment, if not, its advisable to cut as large one as you can to gain room to work on the pump assembly. if you dont, its going to be very hard to do any repairs.

I have a 2003 34’ fads and I replaced the pump on the HWH system without cutting any holes. There’s an access door that is keyed to the same lock that is on the storage bays, just behind the passenger side front wheel (as someone else pointed out). I found a diagram inside the compartment which is helpful, but even if there isn’t a diagram, just follow the hoses to the jacks that won’t retract and then back out the nut on that solenoid until the jack comes up.

Be careful when releasing air from the jacks manually. let air out slowly and a little at a time on each jack as not crack the front window.
