Switch

Anybody know where I can get this switch? WRV used it to control the ill fated Apex Carefree of Colorado windshield shade and I now use them for my MCD shades. One is getting kind of flakey.

Wall Mount Rocker Switches for your RV

Closet match I know of.

If you pull one apart is the a part number on it? Might try Google with a part number if you can find it.

How lucky I am. I e-mailed Carolyn at Aubrey's RV in Yakima and she has one in the stuff they bought at the WRV auction. There is a list of parts she has on the ACA website if you are looking for some obscure part for your coach like a holding tank or........

Basil - we have the ill fated shades you mention in the original post. To date, they have not given us a miniute of trouble. About once a quarter I spray dry silcone lubricant on each gear set, and they continue to work. I like them a lot and will do whatever it takes to keep them working even replacing the motors if necessary. I put them down at night and raise them in the am.

What issues have they had?

FWIW - a large number of switches & small parts used on the alpines come from the marine industry, so you might check West marine to see if they have a similiar switch which will work.

Ours never actually failed but so many did that the manufacturer discontinued them. broken strings, hung up or just plain quit as I recall. I was lucky to get MCD shades installed under WRV warranty before MCD didn't get paid and quit doing it. Our coach, then Fivian's, stop.

I am not familiar with that part, but I understand that Aubrey's RV in Union Gap Wa. bought all the unused parts from Western, Rv.
