We are staying home as our Church serves Thankgiving dinner to anyone who wants or needs a meal. Most of our family will work at the Church dinner and then have our dinner later at home with all of the family.

Where do you stay in the San Joaquin Valley? We have been looking for a place around the Stockton area to go for a week or so in the spring.

Wayne and Roberta,

Check out our post on campgrounds...Eastman Lake. It is absolutely picture perfect in the early spring. Wildflowers are best around mid-March to mid-April.

Not real close to Stockton however .

Hey Tom & Patty,

We'll be out, but unfortunately not up your way. Instead, we'll be headed to Santa Clarita for the big family gathering.

Sure hope to see you guys soon, as it's been much too long!! Come to Pahrump in February and tour the brothel with us!!

I have an Aunt in a nursing home in Stockton. We want to camp nearby so we can visit her while we are in the area. Eastman Lake looks like a very nice place.

Tower Park is reasonably close to Stockton. They have a nice campground in the Sacramento/San Juaquin River Delta. Its about 30 minutes drive into Stockton from there.

French Camp RV Resort is just at the South end of Stockton. It is off of Rt 99 at the French Camp exit.

It is very nice and has a golf course on the premises. Of course, the golf course is going to cost you even if you don't play. When we stayed there last November, the price was $46.50.

WThomas1,
One of the best in Stockton is the River Point Landing and Marina. Off at March Lane to the Deep Water channel. The sites sit right on the river.

Tom & Patty, We gad every intention of meeting you there for Thanksgiving but we kept chasing that cruiser to Charleston, SC the whole way. Whether for 3-1/2 weeks was around 70 degrees. Could not help ourselves except to stay.
I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY. Even you Mike
