Throttle response

I have an 2001 36fdds. The last few trips I experienced a loss of power while at highway speed. Lack of pedal response. But if i pump the pedal a couple of times, it would act normal again. Cummins Pacific didn't find any codes for this. Anyone have any ideas on what could cause this?

Check which pedal throttle sensor is attached to the assembly by your foot. I had to replace the sensor on my pedal in my coach. It cut out on me while driving like it would just slow down like I totally lifted my foot. I'd massage/pump the pedal and it would work again. Ended up being the throttle position sensor.

I agree with the pedal electronics. The ECU doesn't see anything wrong, it just sees the "lower pedal signal" and reduces power accordingly. Watching the inputs to the ECU in real time would show the signal changing while the foot pedal position remains the same, that would be the only "verification" of the ECU.
