Brenda said, see what happens when a guy gets power tool in his hands. She is keeping a close eye on whats going on.
What are you going back with? Good luck with your project.

I would love to have all tile in our couch.
The problem they tell me is when you have wood floors the way the slides come in can mar the floor so we are stuck with rug. It all about the way the slide comes in.
We have a Keeshond with long hair, so rugs kind of sucks.

In a previous coach, we went with cork: Products | Traditional Plank | USFloors

Light weight, good under foot, good sound and thermal insulation and durable (they use this stuff in libraries).

Installed floating with 1/4 round along the perimeter.

While many like tile, I really don't like seeing that much "unnecessary" weight in a coach.

We installed wood flooring, we did see some scratching but after talking to a friend, we got a pair of pad from Newmar, they are about 1/8" thick 5" wide and 30" long. I insert one at each end and I no longer get scratches. I leave them under the slide while it is in and set them aside when the slide is extended.

While we never let water sit on it, we experienced no damage. Again, if used in public libraries, suspect it can tolerate water being tracked on it.

Not in the MH but installed cork throughout our condo including kitchen, not baths, and it is wonderful no problem with water and we wet mop it and no stains from kitchen spills including wine. Be sure to get good quality cork which is more costly probably. In the coach had Amazing Creation guys install a commercial vinyl product that looks like tile and are so very very pleased. It is a snap to clean up.

FWIW, we did the same thing as described by jetar but installed by Classic Coach Works in Florida. The vinyl tile is about 4" wide by 24" long and laid diagonally. We really like the look!

Just to clarify what Amazing Creations did for us on our 36' mid door they laid down a one piece of commercial vinyl from front of cockpit to back of bedroom. No seams and a fantastic beautiful job.

The vinyl is called Flexi Tech. Bobby and Scott tested it first by leaving a transmission on it for a few weeks, then they put it out in their gravel parking lot and parked on it for a number of days. They asked us to examine the piece on the floor of their shop. We did and couldn't find a single scratch, cut or mar on the vinyl.
