Toad Wiring and Brake Lights

I am trying to wire my Jeep JK to my MH. I have turn signals and tail lights but no brake lights. What do I need to do to get my separate brake light wire to light my TS bulbs. It seems I need something else in the loop.

Thanks, Terry

Are you using a converter box on your tail lights to change the separate turn signal lights [amber] on an Alpine to the combined stop/signals [red] on your toad?---find the box at Camping World or other RV shops.....

I used a CoolTech harness for my 2008 JK, but the Mopar one seems a good choice.

Here is the CT link:

JK Tow Harness Deluxe Kit - CoolTechLLC

Lots of folk seem to have trouble with the CT, but I don't know why.

I run a charge wire from the MH to the JK battery. You pull the M1 fuse as noted in the CT instructions and turn the ignition key to unlock the column.

The charge wire was part of the US Gear brake system I installed.

I bought the converter box and all is well. I have lights!!

As for pulling the fuse and leaving the key on acc it's a non issue, I don't have a steering lock on my Jeep................anymore!!

FWIW, it is my understanding that sometime during the '08 MY they discontinued the steering lock.

Thanks to everyone for the help, Terry
