Transfer switch wiring

How are Alpine auto transfer switches wired?
Shore dominant? Or generator Dominant?

Shore default, generator priority.

So the generator should take over when started, even if plugged into shore power, correct?

Main reason is if the transfer switch hums when powered (likely) you won't notice it over the generator.
