Used Alpine checklist

Going to look at an 05 this weekend. Fly in trip. I have a pretty good list but wondered if anyone has anything specific to these RV's I should look at.

Also is there a way to retrieve flash codes for the engine?

Not sure about the flash codes on an 05, sorry.

A few things on an Alpine to look for.
The belt line above the basement doors (full length of the coach) have been known to leak.
Take a close look for wood rot at the basement ceiling near the belt line. This includes everywhere besides the basement also.
Look for obvious signs of water intrusion everywhere, including the slide outs.
Inspect the plumbing drain under the kitchen sink all the way back where the drain hose connects to the pcv fitting. Another failure point.
Look for fogging dual pane windows.
Test run everything to insure the Vansco modules are functional. (Alpines are multiplex wiring after 2003, and replacement modules are becoming difficult to obtain)
Test drive to insure the brakes aren't dragging.
Look real close for any delamination issues outside.
I'm sure 05 owners will chime in with more specifics...
Other than that, the usual to look for. Hopefully you find this a well loved and maintained unit. Good luck.

Check the belt line good! Take a nail, pointed knife, etc, and probe the basement ceiling along the hinge area. Don’t just visually inspect it.
