Velvac side mirrors, 2004

The side mirrors on my coach are made by Velvac, and they have a small amber light on the bottom.
Is this a side marker?
Is it a turn signal?
How do you turn it on?

Mine never come on but I may just not know how to make them come on. If I need to change the bulb is there a good way to pop the lens off or should I just go to prying?

Thanks in advance.

On our 2006 they are not side markers. They are turn signals. Not sure what to suggest for removing the lens. Hope that helps.

Turn signals. I believe the Velvac manual is on the AXA Tech Library internet page.

Yup--they are turn signal lights. They are wedged into the opening of the mirror arm. Its a bit scary but you can use a screw driver to pry them one direction, end wise and they will release. As I recall, its a sealed unit so you have to replace the whole thing, not expensive. Found the exact replacement at CW in their bulb/lens assortment.

Thank you for the replies. They are indeed turn signals, and I have the right one working. I bought LED units to replace them and plan to install tomorrow. To remove them a flat screwdriver to either end and pry. They are a Grote part and fairly common.

Well the left one had both wires cut just inside the coach body. Fortunately you can get to that point through the generator bay. I re-pulled wires and all is working now. Thanks again for the help.
